Jim Maloney’s 1965 no-hitter
In 1965 Cincinnati Reds had a 89-73 record with Dick Sisler as the manager and players like 24 year old Pete Rose, 29 year old Frank Robinson and 25 year old pitcher, Jim Maloney.
I found this video and thought I would share it on here today. I also wanted to show stats of that game so then fans can see how it all worked out. It was the first game of a doubleheader at Wrigley Field. Reds [66-52] vs. Cubs [56-66] Jim Maloney [14-6] won and got the no-hitter while Larry Jackson [11-15] got the loss.
